We can be part of Rainer's project: he will take part in the foodora Linzathlon and GRAWE Grazathlon for all star children and their parents.

From April 26th to June 8th – 1.200 kilometers for star children

On April 26, 2024, Rainer Juriatti from Graz will set off on the Pack towards Wolfsberg. It is the first of a total of 40 stages that will take the star child father and marathon runner over more than 1.200 kilometers with a total elevation gain of around 10.000 meters in all federal states and back to Graz.

Rainer Juriatti will cover an average of 35 kilometers every day. He carries a pushchair weighing around 45-46 kilograms in tow. “Maximum autonomy is necessary,” says the star child activist, “in order to be able to physically endure what star child parents have to endure psychologically throughout their lives.”

According to Juriatti, pain and loneliness are the dominant feelings of parents who have to mourn a star child. The stroller he is pulling behind him is a symbol for many of those affected in Austria: “It will always remain empty,” says Juriatti.
