First Viennathlon on the Danube Island on October 19, 2024
Get ready for a spectacular adventure: The legendary obstacle course series “beat the city” is finally coming to the federal capital Vienna! With the first Viennathlon on Saturday, 19 October, on Vienna’s Danube Island the "Grand Slam" will be completed and an unforgettable obstacle course experience will be created for beginners to elite runners. In 2024, over 13.000 participants were already at the starting line at the foodora Linzathlon, Grawe Grazathlon and purora Innsbruckathlon.
With an exciting route and centrally placed obstacles, the event arena on the main event area of the Danube Island is transformed into a paradise for action lovers and obstacle fans. Whether as a participant or spectator, everyone can experience the most exciting obstacles up close and celebrate in a relaxed manner in the event arena.
The participants also expect in Vienna two exciting distances: The classic 10+ km course with over 20 obstacles and a shorter 5+ km course with around 10 obstacles, perfect for obstacle course beginners. Our popular beat the city classics such as the strenuous monkey bar obstacle "Monkeyland", the muddy "Hupf in Gatsch", the 4,5 m high diving tower and the legendary quarter pipe are of course not to be missed.
But that’s not all: the 8- to 15-year-olds at the Junior ViennathlonA 2,5 km long course with around 10 exciting obstacles, specially designed for the juniors, awaits them. In Graz, over 1.500 kids took part with enthusiasm - now it's the turn of the Vienna juniors to make history.
