ELITE STARTING BLOCK

To ensure a fair competition for all athletes in the elite starting block, the following requirements apply for inclusion in the individual ranking:

1. START IN THE FIRST STARTING BLOCK
Only participants who start in the first starting block will be considered for the individual ranking.

2. CORRECTLY COMPLETING THE OBSTACLES
All obstacles must be properly negotiated according to the official regulations. You can find the detailed obstacle rules in the attached document.

3. NO ANYONE ELSEWHERE
All obstacles must be completed independently. Assistance from other participants is not permitted.

4. NO USE OF TRACK INFRASTRUCTURE AS AN AID
Barriers, barriers or other elements of the track infrastructure must not be used to overcome obstacles.

5. STAY ON THE OFFICIAL TRACK
Leaving the marked course is not permitted during the entire race.

Term Criteria

The fastest runners can start in the first starting block.
Do you want to be there? You must meet the following criteria:

Herren:

1) A beat the city result (Linzathlon, Innsbruckathlon, or Grazathlon) from the last 2 years under 00:57:00 hrs. 

or

2) A result from the last 2 years on a 5K run or longer with an average KM time under 4min. 20sec.

Damen:

1) A beat the city result (Linzathlon, Innsbruckathlon, or Grazathlon) from the last 2 years under 1:15:00 hrs.

or

2) A result from the last 2 years on a 5K run or longer with an average KM time under 5min.

  • Send us an email with yours booking number and the Athlon you have decided on by Sunday at the latest, 2 weeks before the beat the city event an office@beatthecity.at.
  • Attach the result to your email as a screenshot or scan.

We allocate all applications that meet the criteria but are no longer in our front starter contingent to block 2. You will receive your actual start number (and thus the block) by e-mail after the entry deadline. With this mail you go to the start number issue and get your starting documents.

The start numbers are color-coded and also have the number of the starting block on the start number.
